a little story

Ernest Hemmingway Mustard lives on the Brighton/Hove border with his dear lady wife Violet and Doris, their rather grumpy, portly, Jack Russell.
Mr Mustard is a kind, simple soul: a professional tuneless hummer who dabbles in hurricane prediction. Violet, the dear lady wife, is slightly stern, seldom smiles, but is a devil for the Gypsy Creams. Although he doesn't quicken her pulse like a slightly damp Mr D'Arcy, Ernest is a fairly reliable and generous husband who will bring her a bar of Fry's Chocolate Cream and bunches of flowers from other people's gardens. She got a whole trough of bizzie lizzies once, and asked no questions.

a sneaky one

a field of gold

I stumbled across them along the aisles of Borders, whilst looking for your birthday card, han, and have been a little enamoured with them ever since. Created by Sam Toft, these are just stories of two; a simple, lovely life that inspires my own story of two.

J and I are moving in together. xx

in the mood for movies

So true k, the weather's been perfect for it. We braved the george st crowd yesterday to check out Avatar, what's meant to be The Movie of the Millennium, in the History of the Universe!.. or something. I doubt either of you will go to see it so I'll just say quickly - the colours were absolutely beautiful, the thought and effort behind every little detail, amazing. One has to appreciate that. oh! and it was a bit like this:

:) Anyway, k, the scene I was talking about before is this one:

a taste of sydney

we all know "Wish You Were Here" postcards are kinda b.s. and no one actually likes them, but han, I must say, in all honesty, I really, truly do wish you were here.. hope you're having fun in PR! xx

the summer sun

is definitely here in sydney.

I can't wait to see you.

What are you getting away with?

What photos?

You are strong enough for anything.

Did you get your nails done, (if not we can go together)

What scene, what song?

You leave tomorrow.

I wonder too.....

last day thoughts

She replaced the photo.

I leave tomorrow.

I hope he likes the present.

Three great weeks with the fam.

I hope the photos turn out okay.

I wonder what it'll be like to see them together.

Do I have time to get my nails done?

I would've done the same.

Can't wait for some summer sun.

I'll miss him.

Please let me get away with it.

That is a great scene.

I hope I am strong enough.

Don't forget to throw out the milk.

I love this song.

I'd better start packing.

also..

how did your dates go?
that's right, I know you went on two consecutively! xx

thanksgiving

a day filled with turkey, beer and pumpkin pie.
and seconds. and thirds.

but before we indulged in all that glorious gluttony, we said grace and went around the table saying what we were each thankful for.
pilgrims and indians aside, what a great way to just stop, and take a moment to appreciate what you have..

I'll tell you what, the adults were very thankful for this little gem to keep the kids entertained for 14 hours:

As you can see, there was a particular adult who very likely enjoyed himself as much as if not more than the little ones. he is so good with them. I love that.

what I also love, is what he chose to say when it came to his turn at the table..
