I want to

Am suffering post holiday blues this evening. Trying not to think about work tomorrow after a busy fun filled weekend...

The F2F was fun. There may be some stuff to report. Regarding a certain friend of ours. Oh la la.... he he he. Let's have coffee in the morning. Satellite, 8am? See you there.

p.s. I love the home project and posts.

it would be nice

if he spoke of me with even a hint of how he did her.

I was in a bright yellow coffeeshop today, one that was attached to a bright green florist and had greeting cards all over.

One of the cards read:

I feel like nude pantyhose in open-toe sandals

and inside:

Totally Stupid.

haha.

home is

closer because of you

it's been the slowest week with you up in Carins. come back already!

I started your day with a smile

I saw 500 Days of Summer last night, and fell in love with the soundtrack.. I forgot about it 'til only just now, and thought it would've been a nice accompaniment to getting ready for work this morning. And while I missed my chance today, you're just about to wake, so here. Enjoy :)

A taste:

You know I'm a sucker for the French language.. this was played in one of the scenes while Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt were in a car and I was too busy trying to concentrate on the lyrics, I didn't hear a word of their conversation.

I also got sidetracked and discovered more of Carla Bruni and She&Him. My afternoon is made.

ch-ch-changes

what a day for 86. L will be missed, I'm sure.. give him a little hug for me, will ya?

Not sure how I feel about change. All I know is that you made me think of Bowie. I'm obsessed with him a bit at the moment, did I tell you?

I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence and
So the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same

Strange fascination, fascinating me
Changes are taking the pace I'm going through

Time may change me
But I can't trace time

Thinking about it again now -- change -- be it good or bad, letting go is never easy.. give N a little hug for me too.

bitter sweet

It's a strange feeling having someone move in and out of your life.... L is leaving us tomorrow which is really quite sad, but as we all know the infamous N is moving in. eek!

So the story at 86 will continue.... I am sure it will be great! I am generally not great with change.... do you think it's hard?

what I got..

.. for getting home from work in time for a run this evening..

hello sunset. hello palm trees. hello california. xx

oh for one of these

I miss Sydney coffee! These beautiful shots were taken out of amanda gilligan's flikr album Coffee and TV, most of which were taken in cafes in the inner west, where you and I ought to be right now, instead of our cold offices, sipping on our very own across from each other. boo. I miss your company.

Amanda seems to be about as obsessed about coffee and light as we are... ♥ I rediscovered her while I was at for the love of light again. She's the one who did the polaroid of the red shoes!

babies

There are few arriving in my family in the very near future.... and I have been thinking about having a little baby shower for my lovely cousin. Just something little.

Food, flowers, some pretty garlands maybe... I'm not sure about games. Any ideas?

Oh and of course champagne!

this is home

speaking of home, I just got word of this from Design for Mankind. They did another project called Free Encouragement a couple of months ago too. All a bit cool.

here comes the sun

spent the last couple of days with visitors from home.. So lovely to have some familiar faces around.

a few highlights:

driving through the desert
on the wrong side of the road. Taylor Swift was played an excessive number of times on the airwaves of Arizona radio.. wish there was good reason for that. but, no.

watching the sunset over the grand canyon
there are no words.

and, experiencing LOVE, by cirque du soleil
Set against songs by The Beatles, you already know it's going to be brilliant. And oh how it was.

.. wish you had been one of those faces. Miss ya. xx
